Benalmadena

Only 13 km from Malaga’s airport, is Benalmadena between Torremolinos to the east and Fuengirola to the west. In Benalmadena you can find the traditional Spanish village. Further down to the coast, it is a more modern area, with lovely beaches, lots of restaurants, and the beautiful harbour Puerto de Benalmadena. With the wonderful seafront from the harbour and further to Carihuella, you can walk and enjoy the imaginative old fishing village where there are good possibilities to have a good meal specially if you love fish. From there you can go further along the water to Torremolinos. The award winning beaches of Benalmádena Costa belong to some of the busiest on the Costa del Sol. In the harbour  you have the SeaLife Aquarium and Selwo Marina, which are homes to dolphins and seals. Further up, Paloma park is the park, which is a landscaped green area of lakes and wildlife. 

West of the village is the Stupa which is the largest Buddhist centre in Europe, ideal for meditation or just to enjoy the stunning views.
